The Fifth Annual Youth Summit will be held on Friday, February 12, 2010 at Arabia Mountain High School. This year’s theme will focus on curbing the high school dropout rate among African American and Hispanic students. Within many urban communities throughout this country more than 50% of minority students aren’t finishing high school. A theatrical production entitled “Graduation Day” will be a part of the day’s event. The play will focus on the lives of five teenagers and their struggle to remain enrolled in high school. |
